SD Card Structure

Setting Up Your SD Card for EK1 Lite and Pro

For optimal functionality of your EK1 Lite or EK1 Pro device, it's crucial to have the correct folder structure on your SD card. This guide will walk you through the steps to set up or reset your SD card, ensuring that your device operates smoothly and efficiently.

Creating the Correct Folder Structure:

If your SD card is new, blank, or has been reset, you will need to create a specific folder structure for your device. This structure is essential for storing maps, updates, initial configuration files, and logs.

  1. Determine Your Device Type: Identify whether you are using an EK1 Lite or EK1 Pro device. The root folder name will vary based on your device.
  2. Create the Root Folder:
    • For EK1 Lite, create a root folder named EK1LITE.
    • For EK1 Pro, create a root folder named EK1PRO.
  3. Add Subfolders: Inside the root folder, create the following subfolders:
    • Maps - For storing your tuning files.
    • Update - To place firmware update files.
    • Init - For initial configuration and reset files.
    • Logs - Where data logs will be saved.

It's important to ensure that the names of these folders match exactly as shown above. This structure allows your EK1 device to correctly identify and access the necessary files for tuning, updating, and logging operations.

Once you have set up your SD card with this folder structure, insert it back into your EK1 Lite or Pro device. Your device is now ready to perform a range of functions, from reading ECU maps to logging important data for your vehicle's performance.
