This guide is specifically for vehicles equipped with SIM2K-250 and SIM2K-260 ECUs. Patching is a crucial step before tuning these vehicles and is required only once.
- Find Your Calibration ID:
- Follow the steps outlined in the guide to find your ECU's calibration ID.
- Download the Patch:
- Go to the 'Patch' area on the SXTHNK platform.
- Look for a patch that exactly matches your calibration ID.
- If you do not find a matching patch, submit a ticket for assistance.
- Flashing the Patch:
- Follow the same steps as in the tuning guide to prepare your vehicle and EK1 device.
- When prompted, select the 'BootPatch' file instead of a tune file.
- Complete the patching process without interruption.
- Post-Patching Steps:
- Once the patch is successfully applied, you can flash tunes freely on your vehicle.
Important Notes:
- Patching is a longer process than regular tuning, so ensure your vehicle's battery is adequately charged or connected to a charger.
- The patching process is a one-time requirement and allows for subsequent tune flashes without restrictions.
